تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍۢ وَتَبَّ ﴿١﴾

Periscano le mani di Abû Lahab, e perisca anche lui.

مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ ﴿٢﴾

Le sue ricchezze e i suoi figli non gli gioveranno.

سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًۭا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍۢ ﴿٣﴾

Sarà bruciato nel Fuoco ardente,

وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ ﴿٤﴾

assieme a sua moglie, la portatrice di legna,

فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌۭ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ ﴿٥﴾

che avrà al collo una corda di fibre di palma.
