بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ﴿١﴾

I Guds, den Barmhjertiges, den Nåderikes navn

ٱلْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ ٱلْعَٰلَمِينَ ﴿٢﴾

Lovet være Gud, all verdens Herre,

ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ ﴿٣﴾

Han, den Barmhjertige, den Nåderike,

مَٰلِكِ يَوْمِ ٱلدِّينِ ﴿٤﴾

Han, Herren over dommens dag.

إِيَّاكَ نَعْبُدُ وَإِيَّاكَ نَسْتَعِينُ ﴿٥﴾

Deg tilber vi, vi søker hjelp hos Deg.

ٱهْدِنَا ٱلصِّرَٰطَ ٱلْمُسْتَقِيمَ ﴿٦﴾

Led oss på den rette vei!

صِرَٰطَ ٱلَّذِينَ أَنْعَمْتَ عَلَيْهِمْ غَيْرِ ٱلْمَغْضُوبِ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا ٱلضَّآلِّينَ ﴿٧﴾

Deres vei, som Du har beredt glede, ikke deres, som har vakt Din vrede, eller deres, som har valgt den falske vei.
