قُلْ يَٰٓأَيُّهَا ٱلْكَٰفِرُونَ ﴿١﴾

Si: «Dere vantro!

لَآ أَعْبُدُ مَا تَعْبُدُونَ ﴿٢﴾

Ikke kommer jeg til å tilbe det dere tilber,

وَلَآ أَنتُمْ عَٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ ﴿٣﴾

og ikke kommer dere til å tilbe det jeg tilber.

وَلَآ أَنَا۠ عَابِدٌۭ مَّا عَبَدتُّمْ ﴿٤﴾

Ikke tilber jeg det som dere tilber.

وَلَآ أَنتُمْ عَٰبِدُونَ مَآ أَعْبُدُ ﴿٥﴾

Ikke tilber dere det jeg tilber.

لَكُمْ دِينُكُمْ وَلِىَ دِينِ ﴿٦﴾

Dere har deres religion, og jeg har min!»
