أَلْهَىٰكُمُ ٱلتَّكَاثُرُ ﴿١﴾
A cobiça vos entreterá,
حَتَّىٰ زُرْتُمُ ٱلْمَقَابِرَ ﴿٢﴾
Até que desçais aos sepulcros.
كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٣﴾
Qual! Logo o sabereis!
ثُمَّ كَلَّا سَوْفَ تَعْلَمُونَ ﴿٤﴾
Novamente, qual! Logo o sabereis!
كَلَّا لَوْ تَعْلَمُونَ عِلْمَ ٱلْيَقِينِ ﴿٥﴾
Qual! Se soubésseis da ciência certa!
لَتَرَوُنَّ ٱلْجَحِيمَ ﴿٦﴾
Verdadeiramente, então, havíeis de ver a fogueira do inferno!
